Clarksville City Council is expected to hear a proposed resolution that would eliminate diversity, capital and inclusion (Dei) initiative from the city government.

On Thursday, the Council will hear the resolution proposed by Travis Holleman, Division 7.

In the resolution, Holleman says that “Clarksville City Council wants the city of Clarksville -the workforce to serve society to the best of their ability based on qualifications, and the people in Clarksville deserve a competent labor to serve them … regardless of race or sexual orientation ..”

The resolution continues to say that the city “spends $ 120,000 of taxpayers money annually on a dei -communist propaganda’s salary.” And based on election results, “There is overwhelming evidence that the people in Clarksville are tired of the communist driving force, as it contributes to destroying and misconduct in our society.”

The resolution also quotes other extra expenses that have arisen like distributing firefighters to help with fire fires in Los Angeles, calculated to The fire brigade’s budget.

The officer also serves as the city’s official EEO officer and department VI -Coordinator.

In 2023, Michelle Lowe was appointed the official, but Leah Frazier currently has that position.

Previous comments made by Holleman

This is not the first time Holleman has been true about Dei.

At the meeting on June 27, Holleman gave a presentation on “public policy and employees’ policy”, where he criticized Dei training and programs implemented by many large companies.

He called DEI strings “Education programs to help employees to brainwash and indoctrinate,” Driving “woke up,” compared Dei officers with communist officers before continuing to criticize the actions from the LGBTQ community, draw show and trans -sex problems and said “Prince of Pride is satan, “and calls the city to” wake up and repent. ”

At July Meeting, Democratic and LGBTQIA+ Leaders Spoke under public comments to protest against the Holleman comments.

“Dei is not just about LGBT people. It’s about Junetenth. It’s about the Emanipation Day. It’s about the AAPI festival. It’s about the Latino inheritance,” said Montgomery County Democratic Party Chair Charles Uffelman. “Clarksville is a beautiful city because it is diverse, not despite its diversity, and it is an American concept. Has nothing to do with Russia has nothing to do with communism.”

“On my earlier comments about they did not exist, that homosexuals would not exist, disabled people would not exist. I mean, they existed before diversity of stock, such as diversity shares, is a new thing.

“Talking about my presentation, I mean, I never really cared until the LGBT (community) began to focus on children,” Holleman said, With reference to a law adopted by California Gov. Gavin Newsom recently Signed that prevents schools from revealing a student’s sexual orientation or gender identity to any person without the student’s consent.

“The whole goal is to protect children,” Holleman said. “And so I’m sorry you feel attacked, but protecting children is more important. That’s all I have.”

Holleman did not respond to the leaf crown’s request for comment.
