Canada’s home care pilots promise permanent residence from the first day – investments abroad news

Canada’s new home care worker Immigration Pilots will open on March 31, 2025. The earlier versions of the home care provider’s pilot and the home support worker pilot closed on June 17, 2024.

The pilot of the childcare provider and pilot for home support was 5-year-old pilot programs that allow qualified caregivers and their family members to come to Canada to become permanent residents. The application process varied based on how much qualified work experience they had.

The new care pilots are expected to give home care workers a permanent residence (PR) upon arrival in Canada. They will also be able to work for organizations that provide temporary or part-time care for people who are semi-independent or recover from an injury or illness. This new path means that healthcare providers can more easily find proper work with reliable employers and have clear, easy access to permanent resident status as soon as they arrive in Canada.

As part of the plan 2024-2026, Canada will recognize over 15,000 healthcare providers as permanent residents.

As of April 30, 2024, almost 5,700 healthcare providers and their family members have become permanent residents since the launch of Home Child Care Provider Pilot and Home Support Workers Pilot 2019.

These new PR-on-anchor-pilot programs mark an important step forward in Canada’s efforts to meet the developing home care needs of its various population. Through these new pilot programs, candidates who are interested in working in Canada’s home care sector may be eligible to apply for they meet the following criteria:

Achieve at least level 4 based on the benchmarks of the Canadian languages ​​(CLB)

Keep the equivalent of a Canadian high school diploma

Have new and relevant work experience

Have an offer for a full -time room for home care
