SBU Probation alleged leak of Budanov’s statement on threats to Ukraine’s existence

Ukraine’s security service (SBU) has launched a criminal investigation following media reports that claimed that Ukraine’s spy manager made a statement on a threat to the country’s existence during a parliamentary meeting with a closed door, Ukrainian Pravda reported on January 31, with reference to SBU.

The case was opened in accordance with the legal provision on the disclosure of state secrets.

Ukrainian Pravda published a Article January 27 and claims that Kyrylo BudanovHead of Ukraine military intelligence (How), warned of serious consequences for Ukraine’s existence if negotiations do not begin during the summer.

The report, which quoted a named legislature who participated in the meeting, did not indicate what development Budanov was claimed to be.

SBU said that the investigation involves individuals who had access to the classified session in Parliament.
