Mist Basketball Club entered Saturday’s unmatched matchup against vinyl and was looking for the first victory in the history of the franchise.

Of the back of Breanna Stewart and Aaliyah Edwards, the team got it.

Mist entered the last quarter after 65-64 but dominated the last quarter and went on a 9-0 driving before finishing the job with a final result 77-67.

Breanna Stewart was today’s star when she got 23 points and had 10 returns, four assists and three steals. She shot 7-AV-14 on field goals, 1-AV-2 from three and was a perfect 4-of-4 from the free throw line.

Aaliyah Edwards was an outstanding for fog and scored a season high 16 points while leaving nine assists. Other solid artists for the club were Jewell Lloyd, Rickea Jackson and Courtney Vandersloot, who had 15, 13 and 10 points respectively.

Fans took to social media to praise Stewart, Edwards and Mist to get their first victory.

Dearica Hamby was the star for vinyl and scored 35 points while securing 15 returns. This was the club’s third loss in a row after a 2-0 start to the season.

Mist improves to 1-4 and the club hopes they can transfer momentum from this victory. It will be a short rest before, as fog is back in action on Monday against the Phantom Basketball Club. Phantom took the opening match between the two teams 74-69 and is currently 2-3.
