Kansas Senate President Ty Masterson was united by other state legislators and US Senor Roger Marshall on Monday to announce the intention to introduce a “no tax on tips” proposal in Kansas.

US Senator Roger Marshall joined the Kansas State Legislators on Monday to announce the legislature’s intention to comply with President Donald Trump’s proposal not to tax tips.

Trump made a tax on tips part of his campaign promise during the election, and bills that would “eliminate the application of income tax to cash tips” were introduced in both the US house and Senate last year.

Later Marshall said on Monday to bring the law if no tax on tips to life would put more money in the workers’ pocket, and he said he hopes to help deliver Trump’s campaign promise.

“” No tax on tips “should be a public policy for anyone who wants to support workers and families,” said Marshall.

Kansas Senate President Tied Masterson said at a press conference on Monday that all legislation in Kansas will reflect what Congress does. Masterson said that tipping income is different from regular wages because a tip is a “thank you” for service that should not be subjected to tax, and he believes it will help people who work service jobs.

“This will facilitate the burden of Kansans who are employed in our service industry and will also help our small companies that depend on service personnel,” Masterson said.

The State Senator Caryn Tyson, who is chairman of the Senate Tax Committee, said that this initiative is part of the overall effort to simplify the tax code and remove a burden for service workers who “try to track their tipped income.”

Mike Pirner, head of politics and communication for Ty Masterson, told the magazine that no bill has been introduced for any of the house yet, but repeated that the plan is to match what the American congress is doing. Other details about the bill will be drawn up in the legislative process, he said.
