Bihar government fills over 7,000 vacancies among legal delays – India TV

On Tuesday, Nitic Kumar The Bihar government announced that it had successfully filled almost 7,000 vacancies over different departments, many of which had remained unfilled for several years due to legal challenges. The recruitment drive was launched after years of legal complaint and was characterized by the distribution of appointment letter to 6,341 junior ring ears (Isa) which will be published in eight different departments.

The recruitment ceremony, which participated by Bihars Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, also saw 496 instructors (Anudeshaks) who received their letters of appointment for the work department. The Department of Water Resources, monitored by Senior JD (U) leader Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, acted as a nodal agency for the recruitment of junior ring. Chaudhary explained that the majority of services had been advertised as early as 2019 by Bihar Technical Service Commission but had met legal obstacles.

“Many aspirants, including those who already worked on contractual or contained diploma from non-state institutions, had questioned the recruitment process in the Patna High Court and the Supreme Court,” Chaudhary noted. He added that after the main minister’s intervention, the state submitted a proposal to resolve the connection, which was eventually approved by the Supreme Court.

The recently -filled positions are scattered across different departments, with the water resource department which accounts for the largest proportion and hires 2,338 junior ring. Other important departments include planning and development (1,273 services), rural work (759) and road construction (503).
