Enzo Maresca admits he has been “unfair” on Christopher Nkunku after Chelsea Forward failed to leave Stamford Bridge under the transmission window in January.

“But hopefully he can from now on help us a little more.”

Maresca also demanded more “patience” from Chelsea supporters at Stamford Bridge after their 2-1 victory against West Ham on Monday evening.

Jarrod Bowen opened the point for West Ham during the first half but Chelsea leveled through Pedro Neto before Cole Palmer’s effort declined Aaron Wan-Bissaka sealed the victory for the hosts.

“We love our fans in the way they were tonight,” said Mareca.

“We just pray (for) a little more patience from them when we hold the ball and there are teams that sit back and we are struggling to find space. They have to trust us. ‘

The win over West Ham has set Chelsea fourth in the Premier League and two points ahead of the fifth placed Manchester City.
