New provincial treatment center to be at Salvation Army Center of Hope

A provincial treatment center and homeless protection will expand from Salvation Army’s Center of Hope in central London, officials announced on Tuesday.

One of 18 Homeless Addiction Recovery Treatment (Hart) NAV that is earmarked over the province, the London site will be in operation on April 1.

Existing facilities in the Center of Hope, which are already running urgent protection, hot meals, withdrawal management and recovery support, will be used to help people who need help with their mental health and drug use diseases.

“This facility is a natural choice. Canadian Mental Health Association Thames Valley, which will drive the new hub.

It will have 60 beds as part of the hub, said officials last week and another 60 supporting housing during the first year.

‘Hope and dignity’

“We have always worked to promote hope, dignity and positive change,” said the Center of Hope Head Jon Deactis.

“By integrating Hart HUB services into our facility, we can continue that assignment and deepen our impact in society. This partnership is a way to support people in London with the resources and care they need.”

A new hub for supporting people who struggle with abuse and mental health problems in our society come to London. London Morning received more information about the new initiative from London Mayor Josh Morgan.

People will be able to receive crisis support, help with basic needs, health care, advice, recovery of addiction and help get housing and income.

The 18 hubs are an addition to nine existing places over Ontario, which were previously monitored consumption places that switched to NAV after they were closed due to their proximity to schools and day care centers. All hubs will be financed through $ 529 million from the province.

Provincial hubs will have similar services as the youth opportunities Unlimited Hub and Atlohsas NAV at the Parkwood Institute for Indigenous People.
