Liverpool looks at the former Real Madrid player as they prepare to replace Andy Robertson

Liverpool clearly needs an upgrade on the left side of its defense next season.

For many supporters, the deterioration of their options at the left back was something that should really have been raised in January.

Despite Andy Robertson has an elongated decline in form and Kostas tsimic’s not more closely being the answer than he was five years ago, Liverpool chose not to act.

Instead, the hope is that Robertson can gather enough to see the reds until the end of the season before being replaced by a younger model.

For many, the ideal candidate Bournemouth is Milos Kerkez. Arne Slot talked about Kerkez After seeing him close to last weekend and Liverpool’s head coach seemed reasonably impressed.

However, according to journalist David Lynch, Kerkez is not the only left -back on the short list for Liverpool.

Liverpool keeps the guard over Miguel Gutierrez

Lynch has already said this week that Liverpool will move on from Kerkez If they feel that Bournemouth is requesting the price is too high.

In that respect, Rayan Ait Nouri has been mentioned As a potential alternative, but there are others except.

Now writes about his Basis Column, Lynch suggests that Girona left -back Miguel Gutierrez is one of those who has made it to Liverpool’s radar.

“The only obvious area for improvement that is of course directed is left -back,” says the reporter.

“Andy Robertson is starting to look less capable of producing his best shape three times a week and perhaps better suited for the back-up role currently occupied by Kostas Tsimicas.

“There is well documented interest in Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez, although Gironas Miguel Gutierrez has also seen carefully.”

Would Gutierrez fit Liverpool?

This is not the first time Gutierrez has been linked to Liverpool. The 23-year-old even talked about the reds after meeting them with Girona back in December.

“We went toe-to-toe with Liverpool and they are a fantastic team,” Said Gutierrez At the last whistle in that game.

A real Madrid youth team degree with 10 older performances to their name, the hill has been around an elite environment before.

With good experience with La Liga and Champions League, Gutierrez looks to be an attacking left back who has a reasonable release clause around around £ 34 million.

Kerkez will probably still be the choice of many, but the Girona man can also be a sharp supplement.
