Criminal branch to investigate multi-cro-scooter fraud denies Cong leader Laly Vincent involvement

Kochi: The crime branch will investigate the case where Crores of Rupier was swindled by the foremost accused, Ananthu Krishnan, by offering scooters to women at half price. Ananthu Krishnan was arrested by the police in connection with the case on Tuesday. More than 2,000 complaints have been reported against him from different districts.

After receiving 1,200 complaints from Muvattupuzha, he was arrested. After this, many victims from other areas of Ernakulam and other districts have emerged. It is believed that Ananthu carried out most of his fraud in the Ernakulam district, with over a thousand complaints from the Paravur area alone.

From now on, the investigation is led by Muvattupuzha -Dysp. Due to the large-scale character of the fraud, the investigation is transferred from the Muvattupuzha police to the crime branch. An official order in this regard will soon be issued.

At present, Ananthu is Krishnan in judicial custody. The police have submitted a request for custody, which will be considered by Muvattupuzha Magistrate Court tomorrow. A five -day custody production has been submitted. Complaints have been received from different parts of the district regarding him. Ananthu carried out the fraud by forming non -state organizations and involving people’s representatives.

Laly Vincent denies commitment

At the same time, congress leader Lali Vincent denied involvement in the scooter fraud. In the case registered by Kannur Town Police, Laly Vincent is the seventh accused. Laly, who is also an advocate, had previously handled cases where Ananthu Krishnan became involved. She said that all political parties were involved in the socio -economic and environmental development society. She also mentioned that she was not aware of Ananthus political contacts. Laly Vincent further made it clear that she had previously handled cases related to Ananthu and most of these were cases where Ananthu was deceived by others.

“Over the past three years, Ananthu had asked me to prepare legal contracts in connection with various companies including motorcycles, phones and laptops with different companies,” she said. There were also contracts with over 75 non -state organizations. The socio -economic and environmental development society, also known as Seed Kerala, operates all over the state and has representatives from all political parties, including Congress and CPI (M), she said. Laly further stated that she could understand the complaints more clearly after further investigation.

Fraud carried out trust

At the same time, it appears that Ananthu and his group carried out the fraud by forming communities at block level. Communities were formed in over 75 blocks and gathered people as members and collected money for the fraud. In addition to scooters, they offered solar panels, laptops, fertilizers and sewing machines at half price. The fraud was carried out under the name of the national non -state organization. Most of the victims were women.

The fraud promised to provide a scooter worth £ 120,000 for £ 60,000. They affected local department members and created WhatsApp groups under the name Seed Society. To create confidence, they even started a system with the cooperation from the Kozhikode Police at a welfare center. They also conducted school package distributions in collaboration with the Kannur police.

Since Ananthu Krishnan’s arrest last day, the number of complaints from different districts has increased. The Scam scale is expected to grow. More than ten non -state organizations have been affected by the fraud, with two of those who submitted complaints to the police. From now on, 392 complaints have been received from Kannur and 129 complaints from Idukki.

Ananthu Krishnan was arrested earlier 2019 for a fraud in Idukki. After being released against the bail, he resumed his fraudulent business. For four years he swindled several high -profile individuals, collected crores of rupees and led a luxurious life.
