Watch Moment Pizza Delivery Driver “Held Up” by 3-year-old with Toy Gun

An amused dad has shared footage of the moment his 3-year-old son “held up” a pizza delivery driver.

In the clip shared by father-of-four Jack Robertson, from Victoria, Australia, his young son Archie can be seen standing on the front porch brandishing a Nerf gun that driver from Domino’s approaching.

Archie points the toy gun at the approaching worker and warns him, “Give me the pizza and nobody gets hurt.” Any hopes he had of getting by on the food like a bandit are soon dashed when his father, Robertson, arrives with his younger sister.

Archie is ordered, in no uncertain terms, to go in while Robertson pays, while the young lad lets one out excited shout of “pizza!” as he walks away. It was only later that Robertson realized the incident had been caught their doorbell camerathat the full exhilaration of what was happening dawned on him.

“I get a summary of notifications on my phone at six o’clock at night and it caught my eye and when I saw it, it made me laugh,” Robertson said. Newsweek.

While the delivery man’s confused reaction adds to the fun of it all, it’s the fact that Archie knows exactly what to say that makes the clip especially funny.

“He’s a little ripper,” Robertson said. “He’s smart beyond his years and what he comes up with has his family, kindergarten teachers, shop owners and just about everyone who comes in contact with him in stitches.”

Although Archie is a touch on the cheeky side, his ability to converse with confidence should be seen as a major source of pride for his parents.

Conversation can play a big role in the development of a young child. In 2018, a study was published in the journal Psychological science highlighted how the interaction between a child and their parent or caregiver helps ignite the language centers of the child’s brain.

By actively engaging in speech and listening for a response, Archie not only finds a way to make his friends and family laugh, but also increases his neural processing capacity.

While he might want to avoid trying to hold up a hapless pizza delivery boy, Archie’s communication skills stand him in good stead for the future.

Robertson said his youngest son has never lacked confidence in that regard. “He is such a kind and caring child,” he added. “He will always introduce himself and say hi to new friends at the park and everything!”

Part of that may come from the fact that he has two older siblings and a younger one to communicate with. “He adores his siblings, idolizes his big brother and sister and is smitten by his little sister,” Robertson said.

So while the video is undoubtedly hilarious, it seems the Robertsons have a few more reasons to smile when it comes to Archie.
