How to look at the semi -finals of the Caribbean World Series – Dominican Republic against Venezuela | Channel, power, preview

Four teams remain in an annual tournament filled with national boastful rights on the diamond. On Wednesday, Carddenales de Lara from Venezuela at the Dominican Republic’s Leone del Escogido will take the Semifinals in the Caribbean World Series.

Carddenales tries to make it back-to-back World Series victories for teams from Venezuela. Tiburones de la Guaira won everything last year in Miami, the first time since 2009 as a team from the country won the tournament. Carddenales advanced to Final Four after sharing the four games in Round-Robin, including a 10 decimation of Japan Breeze on Tuesday.

The Dominican Republic has been the most successful nation in CWS. The country was emphasized by Tigre’s del Licey’s record 11 championships and has produced 22 tournaments and three of the last five winners. However, Leones, who also went 2-2 in the opening round, has only one championship to its name, which came in 1972.

Since the 2013 championship game was introduced in 2013, both teams have only come to the final once, when Carddenales lost in 2020 while Leones fell in 2013.

Leones won the tournament’s opening game against Carddenale’s last Friday.
