Friends of Old Woman Creek to hear from author/photographer – Morning Journal

The public is encouraged to join the Friends of Old Woman Creek at. 19.00 February 27 at Huron Yacht Club, 350 Huron St. in Huron, and learn about the wonders of the big lakes presented by the author/photographer Jim McCormac.

The program is free, but the seats are limited. So reserve now by emailing info@ Friendsowc.org, according to a news message.

McCormac will share its knowledge of the biodiversity of the great Lake through its many photos.

He is the author of six books, the latest is “Gardening for Mothsm”, co -author with Chelsea Gottfried. Other books include “Wild Ohio” and “Best of Our Natural Heritage”, which won the Ohioana Book Award 2010.

McCormac worked for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for 31 years, first as a botanist and then on special projects involving animals, mainly birds.
