Women in Oregon rushes past Indiana during the fourth quarter

Oregon Duck’s women’s basketball team ended up at a 12-2 run to go about Indiana for a 54-47 home victory Friday night at Matthew Knight Arena.

Deja Kelly swept a Steal and sent the ball forward to Elisa Mevius for the go -ahead with 3:01 to play. A minute later, Duck’s same trick turned with Peyton Scott stealing and heading for the bow for two more quick ones.

Oregon shared a free throw on four separate trips to the Fool line during the last minute, but it turned out to be enough to end the victory.

Duck’s defense handed only one basket to Indiana during the last five minutes of the match.

On an off-shooting evening for both teams, Scott Ducks led with 14 points for a perfect 4-for-4 from the field and matched it with four factories from the free throw line.

Oregon (15-5) remains in the upper half of the BIG-10 racks with the winnings.

The Ducks is traveling next week and will play in Michigan State on Thursday and in Michigan on Sunday, February 2.
