Baton Rouge, LA. (WAFB) – Arrest reports obtained by WAFB I team indicate state troops, James Jefferson, denied getting physical last night when a conversation of home violence was made from a home in Baton Rouge.

Officers who responded say they observed fresh scratches on Jefferson’s hand.

Arrest reports note that the argument was derived from the victim entering Jefferson’s truck. A struggle was heard, and the victim screamed for help. The person who reported the accusation said that Jefferson threw the victim to the ground while a child was inside the truck.

Officers watched video surveillance where a victim is heard screaming, “he punches me” and “Don’t throw me on the ground.”

Jefferson was booked in the East Baton Rouge Parish prison on a count of domestic abuse battery with children’s danger.
