Sir Elton John, 77, admits he had days “where he feels miserable” about his sinking vision after an infection left him blind in one eye

Sir Elton John has opened up on his sinking sight after he revealed last year that he has lost sight in his right eye.

The legendary musician, 77, got a serious eye infection in July who left him blind in his right eye, with “limited vision” to the left.

But even though he could not experience some of his most glittering events in recent months, including the gala performance of The Musical The Devil Wears Prada, the star has remained positive.

In an interview with The custodianSir Elton acknowledged that he now has a new -won respect for visually impaired people and understands how happy he is.

He told the publication: ‘I am an optimist permanently, I have bad vision right now.

“It has been days I have been miserable, but then I think about how happy I am, I have a new respect for visually impaired people, but I have a fantastic life and hopefully my vision will improve.

His confession of his view comes when he revealed the real reason for his furious studio melt when he began his latest album with the collaborator and friend Brandi Carldle.

He admitted that despite a career that stretched over 50 years, he had more doubt to enter the recording studio this time than ever before.

“But if I had been on my own without Brandi and Berni and Andrew, this record would never have been made.

“It was the combination of all the energy in the room, all worsening, all anxiety, pushed us to create electrical music.”

The studio album called Who Beloy’s in Angels? Is a collaboration effort with Brandi and Sir Elton’s long -term writing partner Bernie Taupin and will be released on April 4.

Sir Elton has imprisoned the audience with his top-top hits since the late 1960s, but the first half of his career is tormented by dependence on drugs, alcohol, sex and shopping-like his struggle with bulimia.

The singer entered into a civil partnership with Canadian filmmaker David Furnish, 56, in December 2005, before tieing the same gender marriage in England and Wales in March 2014. They share sons Zachary, eight and Elijah, six.
