A Cleveland -man was arrested at about 9:30 January 23 after he was told to leave Smurfit Westrock Packaging Solutions, 18300 Snow, but refused to do so.

The man was a temp worker at the company. He got angry and screamed at other employees, accused them of not helping him and threatened to beat them.

A business manager fired the man and ordered him from the property. The man would not go so the manager called the police.

The police approached the man but he would not talk to them. He refused to leave and said he was on public property. The police explained that he was on private property.

Finally, the man said he would go but not until his ride came. The police told him he could wait in the company’s driveway near snow but he said no.

The police warned the man that they would arrest him if he did not leave. He said, “I’ll take my chances.”

Theft through fraud: Cricket Lane

A Crickett woman told the police on January 24 that she deposited money for the purchase of a puppy but the puppy was never delivered to her.

The woman paid $ 200 for a Boston Terrier puppy through Apple Pay. She had noticed the puppy for sale on Facebook.

The woman arranged to meet the dog seller at a marathon in Hilliard near Columbus to complete the purchase. The woman would pay the seller another $ 300 and get the puppy.

But when the woman arrived at Hilliard, the dog seller said she was in the hospital. She said that the puppy was now in Strongsville and that a man would complete the deal.

The woman contacted the man. He told her to send $ 300. She delivered the fee through Apple Pay. The man then told the woman that he had a flat tire. He wanted another $ 100 for the puppy.

The woman then realized that she was cheated.

The police stopped the woman because she and a man crossed Brookpark outside a transition between West 130th Street and Smith Road.

The woman immediately admitted that an order had been issued for her arrest. The police were told that the woman was wanted by Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office for an infringement of tests.

The woman wore seven hypodermic needles and a glass tube. She said the pipe was to smoke methamphetamine.

The police advised the woman to turn into the sheriff’s office.

Arrest warrants are served, driving with a closed license, drug equipment: Engle Road

A sought after Brook Park woman, 43, was arrested about midnight on January 26 after the police caught her driving with a suspended license on Engle.

The woman had parked her car at Sunoco, 6313 Engle. The police checked her registration plate and discovered that she was wanted in Parma Heights for possession of controlled substances.

Police found a white stone -like crystal substance and a glass pipe in the woman’s pocket.

Grand Theft Vehicle: Snow Road

A Chevrolet Silverado 2012 stole between January 23, 23 and January 24, January 24 outside Best Western Airport Inn & Suites, 16501 Snow.

The victim had left the keys in the pickup.

Police pulled over the citizen on snow close to 71. The man’s eyes were blood shots and glassy. His speech was slipped and he smelled like alcohol.

Police noticed a clear plastic cup containing a yellow liquid in Civic’s Cupholder. When they asked the man what was in the cup, he said, “Should be water.”

The man did not have a valid driver’s license. He refused to take the field’s sobriety tests so that the police placed him in handcuffs.

The yellow liquid in the cup inside the citizen smelled like a fruity alcoholic beverage. Police found amphetamine in the car. The man said it was prescribed to treat his hyperactivity disorder for attention deficit.
