Sex -Radboxer Imane Khelif breaks silence over the Olympics

The sex-grow boxer Imane Khelif has promised to explore “all available legal paths” against the International Boxing Association and accuses the organization of spreading “false and offensive” accusations.

Algerian Khelif and Lin Yu-Ting of Taiwan both won gold medals at last summer’s Olympics despite being disqualified from the 2023 World Championships for failing gender permission tests.

The IBA – the Russian -led body that administered the disputed 2023 tests – announced earlier this week that they have initiated legal measures against the International Olympic Committee to allow the boxes to compete in Paris 2024.

Khelif, who remains forbidden from the IBA World Cup, issued a statement that accused the organization of making “baseless accusations” of “promoting its agenda”.

The 25-year-old said in a statement that “all necessary legal steps” would be explored to “ensure that my fights and principles for fair competition are maintained.

“For two years I have taken the highway while my name and image have been used, unauthorized, to further personal and political agendas through the spread and dissemination of baseless lies and error information. But silence is no longer an option.

“IBA, an organization that I am no longer associated with and that is no longer recognized by the International Olympic Committee, has once again made basic accusations that are false and abusive and use them to promote their agenda,” Khelif wrote in a statement.

“This is a question that is not just about me but the broader principles for justice and the right process in sports.

“I’ve seen adversities before. I lost in my first Olympic look. I lost in amateurly leagues. I have been beaten more times than I can count. But I have never stayed down. I have fought through every setback, every false accusation , every attempt to delete me. And I have won. Every obstacle has only strengthened my determination.

“My team carefully examines the situation and will take all necessary legal action to ensure that my rights and principles for fair competition are maintained. Those responsible for these measures must be held responsible, and we will conduct all available legal paths to ensure that justice prevails.

‘I’m not getting anywhere. I will fight in the ring, I will fight in the courts, and I will fight in the public eye until the truth is undeniable.

“To my supporters, thank you for standing with me. I remain focused, determined and ready to continue to represent my country and my sport at the highest level. ‘

IBA had quoted President Trump’s latest executive order that banned transgender people from female sports in the United States when they announced their legal challenge.

The organization said it submitted complaints to the lawyers in Switzerland, France and the United States “regarding IOC’s documents that facilitated the participation of these unjustified athletes”.

The IBA claims that, according to Swiss law, “all measures or passivities that pose a security risk for competition participants warrants and can serve as a reason for criminal prosecution”.

The organization has also offered to financially support all Paris 2024 boxers who want to continue legal measures.

“President Trump’s order to ban trans people from women’s sports validates IBA’s efforts to protect women’s sports integrity,” said IBA President Umar Kremlev. “Our actions aim to ensure equality in boxing.

“IBA will provide free extensive legal support to our boxers in these moods, as this is a clear violation of human rights, an upset against the female boxes and simply a crime that should be punished accordingly.

“In my personal opinion, (IOC president) Thomas Bach should take full responsibility for this, because he was responsible when it happened, and he must compensate for the injuries caused, if the court or any other instance decides this.”

IOC abolished the IBA of its status as the sport’s world -controlled body in 2023 with reference to concerns about ethics and economics.

This meant that the boxing tournament at last summer’s Olympics was run by IOC, which let Khelif and YU-Ting compete in Paris and claim that IBA had not produced any evidence of their failed gender permission tests.
