SI PAPER LEAK: Govt questions Locus Standi of Petitioners

Jaipur: Rajasthan High Court Continued to hear arguments for the third day in a row on Wednesday in a petition that required cancellation of the recruitment test 2021 on 2021 due to the paper leaking on a large scale. State Govt’s additional lawyer general questioned the intention of the petition and the petitioners’ Lokusstandi.
Single-Judge Bench of Justice Sameer Jain sought a report on the number of complaints as Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) had received about the paper leak during the recruitment process.
When he appeared on behalf of the Government, additional general lawyer Vigyan Shah questioned the intention and said that the petitioners had succeeded in the exam. Shah said: “We question the petitioners’ Locus Standi.”
With the petitioners’ arguments ended Wednesday, Govt’s response will continue on Thursday.
Harendra Neel, a lawyer for the original petitioner Kailash Chand Sharma, who is seeking cancellation of the exam, said: “The entire degree process was whitened due to the paper leak. The essay on social media traveled throughout the State of Rajasthan. RPSC committed several illegals at graduation.”
Neel claimed at the court that some of those arrested in the case had relatives between gangsters and history sheets. He claimed irregularities when he completed the exam and pointed out that RPSC did not carry out videography and installed internet jammers at the degree centers. He claimed that the paper should have been carried out in one shift but was held in three shifts, and private schools and inaugurators were called in.
