Ben Simmons describes why he chose to come to Clippers after Nets Buyout

For four years now, basketball fans have been waiting for a glimpse of the old legs Simmons-the versatile two-way guard that put the NBA ignition around the beginning of the decade and invites comparisons to legendary Los Angeles Lakers Forward Lebron James.

It is unlikely that exact version of Simmons will show up, but LSU Product is still only 28. On Tuesday Simmons described his simple reasoning to join Los Angeles Clippers after Brooklyn Nets Bought him out Saturday.

“I think to make the decision to come here – I felt wanted,” Simmons said. “It’s something you want to feel when you go to work, and you want to compete at a high level. Obviously, these guys have competed at a high level.”

Simmons averaged 6.2 points, 5.2 returns and 6.9 assists per match for Nets this season. His profit shares per 48 minutes met a career was .070 three years after an attitude and back injury cost him a whole season.

“The coaching staff is great. The medical staff has been great,” Simmons said about Clippers. “For me it is a welcoming experience … I just want to compete and help this team win.”

Clippers are currently 29-23, sixth at Western Conference and .002 points before seventh place Minnesota Timberwolves by winning a percentage.
