Parents, teachers gather to ask Elon Musk to “stay outside the education department”

Sara Porcari just filled out her first free application for Federal Student AID (FAFSA).

The 17-year-old from Cheverly, Maryland did so that she can qualify for loans to go to college in the fall.

“I thought this was a safe website because it is run by the government,” Porcari said Wednesday. “I filled in my social security number, my parent’s income information and their investment information. I thought this information was private. Now I’m not sure what is happening.”

Porcari was one of several speakers who asked for Elon Musk to stay out of the Ministry of Education.

The rally would be personally but was practically moved by the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) after snow moved through the area.

AFT has joined a mood that claims Elon Musk and his department for the government’s efficiency (Dogge) who illegally received sensitive registers from millions of Americans at the Department of Training, Office of Personnel Management and Tax Chamber.

“We know how much financial support from the Ministry of Education means and how it can do or break opportunities,” Kate Reilly, a mother to three.

All three of Reilly’s children will be in college next year and everyone has filled out the FAFSA form.

“I’m talking about our social security information, the names of family members even though they need to know the name of our first pet we put it down as well because we trust this information is safe,” she said.

AFT gathered people the day before President Donald Trump’s nominees for education secretary Linda McMahon is set to her confirmation negotiations.
