Pa. City to investigate the Feds’ claims it owed $ 1.4 million in abused funds

Williamsport – the national legal company retained by the city Williamsport Planning to conduct a complete investigation into demand from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for repayment of $ 1.4 million in what it claims is abused.

Mark A. Johnston from Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott described the company’s plans in February 3 to Theresa J. Kohler, FTA’s CFO.

The letter also requested a 30-day extension, which was granted, to respond to the demand of $ 1.4 million. Johnston noted that his company was not kept until January 31.
