Bolton called these concessions a “complete turn of US position” and a great victory for Putin.

“The positions that the Defense Secretary Hegseth announced in Brussels – which I am sure I would be stunned if Trump did not convey them directly to Putin in his phone call – is the condition for a settlement that could have been written in the Kremlin,” he said. “Maybe they wrote in the Kremlin and came out in propaganda channels.”
