Breezy and cool Thursday, but expect another front for the weekend

Lake Charles, La. (KPLC) – cooler and drier weather have quickly moved into Swla behind yesterday’s cold front, but this is not the last we will see about rain this week.

It starts chilly and windy Thursday morning, so you want at least a light jacket on the way out the door. Sunshine should return in the afternoon, but the heights will only top in the mid/upper 50s to the low 60’s! It looks like a beautiful day while a place with dry weather gets stuck with us.

Even cooler weather is expected to Friday morning with lowness in the upper 30s to the low 40s. Rain chances Friday will remain limited, but can be back to at least some scattered showers when our pattern starts to switch before the next front.

Another cold front will approach Swla on Saturday and this will have another round of rain and storms to our area. There is a chance that this front can give a couple of strong to difficult storms with much of Swla for at least one low risk for now, so stay updated for updates to the forecast.

If you have outdoor plans this weekend it would probably be best to avoid Saturday, but Sunday looks good with the rain from the picture completely.

Saturday will be warm with heights close to 80 degrees and then a strong temperatures arrive overnight until Sunday. Sunday can fight to reach 60 for a pile even with plenty of sunshine. Morning flames will also be chilly with Monday, which is the coolest in the 30s in most areas.

A warming trend begins again in the early part of next week with another cold front which will probably arrive later this week. This will bring another round of rain to our area, but no signs of anything other than rain.
