Amazon (Nasdaq: Amzn) surprised investors last week with its overwhelming guidance for the first quarter. The share fell, but it is already on the recovery as smart investors see in addition to some disappointing quarterly guidance. After all, it was much to love about the quarter, and even more to love about how Amazon utilizes its dominant position in cloud calculation to increase its artificial intelligence (AI) business. Between all the conversation about AI and guidance, it was an important milestone Amazon reached that was overshadowed. But it is good for Amazon’s future. Through most accounts, Amazon had a stellar fourth quarter. Revenue increased by 10% year over years and entered the high end of the guidance, which was 7% to 11%.
