A now deleted Instagram post from an influencer revealed a new color path and tactical brand

Hot by the heels on the new Garmin Instinct 3, and after the disclosure of a brand new Descent G2 and Garmin Tactix 8A new tactical version of Garmin Instinct 3 has just leaked online.

We love Garmin Instinct 3and it has immediately taken its place in our Best Garmin Watch Guide as our best outdoor choice. Currently, there are amoled and solar alternatives, as well as Garmin Instinct E, which neither has an AMOLED screen nor sunbathing glass. However, Keen Redditors has discovered a new variant leaked by an Instagram influencer.

The post from Kristian Hansen describes an experience with the new Garmin Instinct 3 sunbathing, but as a user at Garmin Reddit noticed, there is something strange about this one. “Hello guys, I just stumbled this post by someone on Instagram that markets Instinct 3 product on his page,” said the original poster. “But surprisingly, the color is not the same with the one already launched. And if you zoom in on the clock it is the tactical logo at the bottom of the steering wheel. Is that instinct 3?”

The clock in the post clearly has Garmin’s tactical brand. So what could that mean?

The safest sign that this really a leak of an unreleased tactical variant of Garmin Instinct 3 is that Hansen’s Instagram post has since been removed, a safe fire proposal that this watch was published before his time.

When it comes to what a Garmin Instinct 3 Tactical could give, we have a pretty good idea based on Garmin’s previous form. Garmin’s Instinct 2 had a tactical edition that brought all the features in the sun model (as shown in this leak) in an identical design package. But it also came with a green flashlight mode, a stealth mode that turns off GPS and communication, double position format to synchronize your location with others, a ballistic calculator from applied ballistics for long-distance shooting, a kill switch to wipe unit, a Jumpmaster mode for parachute jumps and a tactical activity profile.

It is a very similar range as the one for the brand new Garmin Tactix 8 that was presented this week and would be another excellent addition to the Instinct 3 lineup.

There is no confirmation yet, but we have reached Garmin and will report back accordingly.
