Texas attorney Tony Buzbee, known for spearheading several sex crime lawsuits against Sean Diddy Combs, is facing charges that he encouraged a woman to lie to further his alleged agenda.

According to Page Six, Jay-Z’s legal team claims the woman contacted their office after Buzbee filed a rape lawsuit against the rapper, which Jay-Z’s attorney has since dismissed. The 55-year-old has been accused of raping a 13-year-old girl with Combs after an MTV Music Awards show in 2000.

A separate statement says the woman felt Buzbee was pressuring her to establish a relationship with Combs. According to the declaration, Tony Buzzbee asked about when she met Combs, despite clarifying that her case was not related to the father of five.

“Members of the Buzbee company encouraged this woman to pursue her claims anonymously even though she had no interest in doing so,” claims attorney Alex Spiro.

Woman claims she felt pressured to file civil suit against Sean Diddy Combs

The anonymous woman claims she first contacted Buzbee after seeing him hold a press conference about Chambers in October. She thought he could help her with a separate case involving her alleged sex trafficker.

The woman further claims that she felt pressured to proceed with a civil lawsuit, filed under the pseudonym Jane Doe, against the Bad Boy Records founder. “She felt directed and coached by Mr. Buzbee’s company to say that someone held her down and put drugs in her mouth when that was not her experience,” the declaration added. “She felt compelled to lie.”

In a letter to the judge, Spiro alleges that members of Buzbee’s company allegedly pressured the woman into making false claims that she was drugged, restrained and physically assaulted by Combs. “When the woman was awakened and wanted to speak to the police, she was told that it was not ‘encouraged,'” says the lawyer. He concludes, “When the woman refused to accept the version of events proposed by members of the Buzbee company, she was summarily removed as customer.”

Tony Buzbee’s response to the allegations

Buzbee told TMZ the claims were absurd and explained that if someone contacts their office with a viable case that appears to have merit and can be pursued, they will take it on. He said: “We are currently pursuing hundreds of cases against individuals other than PDiddy (sic). What we will not do is pursue a case that we do not believe has merit.”

“I can’t speak to what she said to the inmates to even tell you what this woman claimed if and when she called … we really don’t need to ‘press’ someone to pursue a case,” Buzbee added.
