Did Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson turn down King Charles’ Christmas party invitation amid alleged Chinese spy connections?

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson will not be joining the rest of the royal family for Christmas celebrations this year, amid the prince’s alleged links to a Chinese spy named H6.

The annual holiday celebrations for the royals take place at Sandringham, and this year is no different. King Charles extended the invitation to his brother and Ferguson, who have declined it and will reportedly celebrate Christmas at the Royal Lodge, which has been a residence for the Duke and Duchess for the past few months.

According to media reports, the Prince and Sarah Ferguson were expected to live at the log cabin, along with other family members, but it is understood that Duke had to stay out of the limelight amid the allegations against him.

Apart from Prince Andrew and his family, the princesses may also not be present at the Christmas celebrations, as they will be spending the festive days with their in-laws.

It is understood that Prince Andrew wants to keep the monarch out of the controversy. If the duke is spending his vacation with members of the royal family, it can be well received that the king supports the prince’s connections with the Chinese spy.

As the allegations are discussed publicly, Prince Andrew has once again taken the spotlight and made internet headlines. According to reports, Andrew came into contact with the alleged Chinese spy during his trials in the Jeffery Epstein case.

After his heated interview with the BBC in 2019, the Duke has been questioned about several things. He was forced to return to public duties, despite being under the radar all along. But in 2020, Prince Andrew claimed he had done nothing wrong and stepped back from his royal responsibilities.

In 2022, the prince was stripped of his titles and patronage by Queen Elizabeth after a civil lawsuit was brought against the former royal in the sex-trafficking case. The following year, the Duke settled out of court with the victim for an undisclosed sum.
