Palm Springs police are offering reminders on how to protect your valuables from car theft

The Palm Springs Police Department has a message for the public: don’t go into “vacation mode” when it comes to protecting your valuables.

The Palm Springs Police Department wrote several reminders on how to keep your valuables safe on Facebook. With the help of grant money from the Board of State and Community Corrections Organized Retail Theft (ORC) program, law enforcement agencies have also distributed information sheets to local hotels and car rental companies.

According to officials, these flyers contain sensible reminders that can slip in tourists and residents alike. The goal is simple: reduce theft.
