Somerville outdoor cinema extends closing as arborists continue to examine the health of surrounding trees

A suspension of outdoor films at the University of WA’s Somerville Auditorium has extended to a second week, with the Perth festival authorities that cannot guarantee that views will start this weekend.

The popular outdoor cinema has been closed since a Tallgren fell near the audience that sits 10 minutes into a show of Saturday night of everything we imagine as easily on February 1st.

Arborists who were brought in to investigate the health of trees within the picturesque arena are still investigating, and roam initial expectations that the Lottery West film season would be safe to start again last Sunday.

This week, the organizers remained hopeful views back on Monday, when the Cold War Documentary Soundtrack to a Coup d’Etat is planned to start a two -day driving, but could not give further the insurance.

“The university has closed the arena and committed arborists to carry out further checks of all trees within the auditorium,” said a spokesman for the Perth festival.

“The arborists continue their investigation and the arena will not open until it is safe to do so.”

A photo published on Facebook last week showed the fallen tree branch that was over cinema seats.
