On November 3, 2024, Facebook page SpaceX Fanclub has posted a meme claiming musicians Kid Rock refused to allow music artist Jennifer Lopez to stand on stage during a concert because of her support of Kamala Harris for President in the 2024 US election.

The meme included a caption that read: “Kid Rock refuses to let Jennifer Lopez on stage, gets her kicked out of the concert after her big support.“

Variations of the rumor spread to Other Facebook accounts, including We are patriotssame day.

We Are Patriots and SpaceX Fanclub linked to one Esspot’s article in the comments to their post, which reported the following:

In what can only be described as a clash of pop culture titans, Kid Rock reportedly had Jennifer Lopez escorted out of his concert on Saturday night after she tried to join him on stage. According to sources close to the incident, the rocker’s security team was quick to act and escorted Lopez out of the venue moments after she made her way to the stage. The reason? Her recent endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris.

Some people who responded to the Facebook posts seemed to believe the claim, with one writing in the SpaceX Fanclub comment section: “Good job! It’s time we all stand up to the entitled people who have not been affected by let’s hateful politics!Meanwhile, on the We Are Patriots post, a social media user wrote:”Jennifer Lopez is a communist.“

But others noticed the “Rated Satire” stamp in the upper left corner of the meme.

For example, a Facebook user commented:”If you read the bottom it’s satire not true, it’s just here to upset people.“

This item was not actually a factual account of real life events. The Facebook account SpaceX Fanclub is satirical in nature and said in its Facebook Intro: “We post SATIRE, nothing on this page is true.”

Likewise, the We Are Patriots Intro states: “We post SATIRE, Nothing on this page is real. Connected to SpaceXMania.com which is part of ‘The Patriots Network’ of Satire and Parody.“

SpaceX Fanclub is an offshoot of the satirical news site Esspots.comwho wrote on his website Disclaimer that all of its posts are “entirely fictitious and created for entertainment purposes only.”

No other reputable media reported the satirical story of Kid Rock — who has publicly approved Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump – refuses to let Lopez on stage because of her political support of Democratic Party candidate Harris, as she did on October 31 at the campaign Las Vegas rally.

In the past, Lopez and Kid Rock have done it shared stage (along with rapper Ja Rule) when they performed for the troops at Ramstein Air Base in southwest Germany in 2001.
