After justifying deal with Adani, Revanth Reddy is now protesting against Adani-Telangana Today

Hyderabad: Chief Minister One Revanth Reddywhich has drawn flak for the state’s business dealings with them Adani Groupdespite Congress’ stand against Adani, will participate in a protest against Gautam Adani in town on Wednesday.

The protest comes in the wake of Adani’s indictment in a multibillion-dollar bribery and fraud case by the US Department of Justice. Apart from this, the Congress is also protesting against the Prime Minister’s alleged negligence Narendra Modi towards north-eastern states, especially Manipur.

According to the AICC instructions, the Telangana unit of the Congress is conducting a “Hello Raj Bhavan‘ protest meeting on December 18. Along with the Chief Minister, Cabinet Ministers, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud and senior leaders are scheduled to attend the protest.

Revanth Reddy’s participation in the protest assumes significance in the wake of recent developments, when he sought to justify entering into a deal with Adani even as the Congress, especially its leader Rahul Gandhi, has continued a vociferous protest against Adani, alleging shady dealings. of him and also that he was hand in glove with Modi.

After Rahul Gandhi openly stated that all agreements signed by state governments, whether ruled by BJP or Congress or any party, would be investigated for corruption, Revanth Reddy was forced to reject a donation of Rs 100 million. crore from Adani for setting up the proposed Young India Skill University in Telangana.

The status of several deals signed by the Telangana government, including by Revanth Reddy personally with Adani in Davos, hangs in the balance after this.

Though Revanth Reddy had tried to justify the deals claiming that they were for the cause of development, the same has not gone down well in the party and his stance has come under heavy criticism from the party. It is under these circumstances that he is supposed to participate in the protest against Adani.
